Lian Li UNI FAN SL120 V2

120mm modular ARGB cooling fan with an interlocking design and software-based lighting and speed controls.

Upgraded Modularity

The revised interlocking system allows up to six fans in two connected clusters to use a single controller port.

Extension Cable

An 18cm extension cable can connect two groups of three fans in a 3+3 configuration. The connected clusters use one port on the SL V2 UNI HUB controller and can display continuous lighting effects across both groups.

Controller Capacity

Each controller port supports up to six fans, while the controller supports a maximum of 16 fans in total.

Plug-In Cable Module

The cable module plugs directly into the fan and sits flush with the frame, reducing the additional clearance required around radiator fittings.

Removable Interlocking Key

The interlocking keys can be removed when additional clearance is needed around radiator fittings.

28mm-Thick Frame

The SL120 V2 uses a 28mm-thick frame and provides approximately 10% more airflow than the SL120 V1.

Fan Performance

The fan provides airflow up to 64.5 CFM, static pressure up to 2.59mmH2O, a speed range of 0 or 250 to 2000 RPM, and a maximum noise level of 29.2dBA.

Internal Fan Construction

The fan uses a thicker impeller, magnetic frame, magnetic rubber ring, fluid dynamic bearing, circlip, stator, additional magnetic support, and rubber vibration pads.

Fluid Dynamic Bearing

The fluid dynamic bearing reduces internal friction and supports long-term fan operation.

Vibration Reduction

Additional magnetic support and rubber pads help stabilize the fan blades and reduce vibration during operation.

Continuous LED Channel

The lighting gap between two connected fans has been reduced from 5.6mm to 3mm for a more continuous LED channel.

Rear Aluminum Medallion

An aluminum medallion is positioned at the center of the rear fan hub.

Lighting Effects

Available lighting effects include Render, Tunnel, Voice, and Groove.

Merge Lighting Mode

The merge function allows lighting effects to move across multiple fan clusters connected to the system.

UNI HUB Controller

The controller included with the triple pack supports up to 16 fans and two compatible SM-type devices.

Fan Group Ports

Each fan-group port carries ARGB and PWM signals and supports connected clusters containing up to six fans.

SM-Type Ports

The SM-type ports support compatible devices such as a Galahad AIO pump ARGB cable. Each port supports a maximum output of 5W.

Controller Power

The controller uses two SATA power connections with a maximum total input of 29W. The primary SATA connection is always required, while the secondary connection is used when more than 12 fans are connected or static white lighting is frequently used.

USB Connection

The controller connects to an internal 9-pin motherboard USB header for L-Connect 3 software control.

Motherboard Synchronization

A 5V ARGB cable and 4-pin PWM cable are used to synchronize lighting and fan speed with a compatible motherboard.

Single 7-Pin Cable

The cable module combines fan power, PWM control, and lighting control into one 7-pin connection to the controller.

Direct Motherboard Connection

The single pack includes a cable module with a 4-pin PWM connector and a 3-pin SM-type ARGB connector. A 3-pin to 3-pin 5V ARGB cable is included for motherboard connection.

Indented Screw Holes

Indented mounting holes support standard 25mm radiator screws. When using a gasket or mounting the fan directly to a case with a radiator underneath, #6-32 x 1-1/2-inch screws are recommended.

L-Connect 3 Software

L-Connect 3 controls lighting effects, merge mode, color, brightness, animation speed, lighting direction, and fan-speed profiles.

Start and Stop Mode

The fan can stop when the CPU or GPU operates below a user-defined temperature of up to 50°C.

Fan Curve Control

L-Connect 3 displays a real-time RPM graph for configuring custom fan-speed curves.

Fan Cluster Configuration

Connected fan clusters can be named, assigned a quantity, and reordered through the Settings and Device section of L-Connect 3.

Static White Lighting Notice

When more than nine SL120 V2 fans are synchronized through the motherboard, static white brightness should be reduced to prevent inaccurate colors.
