New-Generation TESLA.45 Driver Technology

The redesigned 45 mm TESLA.45 driver system delivers excellent resolution, extremely low distortion, and outstanding impulse behaviour. Weight-optimized materials combine studio-quality sound with flexibility for use across a variety of end devices. With a 30-ohm impedance, the headphones can be used with a wide range of equipment.

Precise Reference Sound

The DT 1990 PRO MKII delivers precise bass response down to the lowest octaves, detailed mids, and controlled highs. Compared with the previous model, the slightly reduced high frequencies provide useful detail while helping prevent inaccurate mixing decisions. Its wide soundstage makes it easier to precisely position instruments and voices.

German-Made Sound Transducers

Each DT 1990 PRO MKII contains two TESLA.45 sound transducers manufactured in Heilbronn, Germany. The drivers are measured multiple times during production to ensure consistent performance within tight tolerances.

Maximum Comfort for Long Sessions

Designed for extended studio use, the headphones feature a robust and flexible spring-steel headband for optimal contact pressure. Skin-friendly velour ear pads provide comfortable wear during long sessions, while the soft memory-foam and leatherette headband adapts to the shape of the head. A fontanelle recess helps avoid pressure on sensitive areas.

Two Sound Signatures

Two sets of ear pads are included for greater flexibility. The standard Producing Velours ear pads provide a fuller sound with a slight bass boost, while the Mixing & Mastering Velours ear pads deliver a more analytical sound profile. The pads can be identified by the cutouts on their backs: Producing Velours have several small holes, while Mixing & Mastering Velours have four small holes.

Professional-Level Flexibility

A 3 m straight cable and a 5 m coiled cable are included, both featuring a lockable 3-pin mini-XLR connector. The headphones and accessories are safely stored in the included high-quality hard case.
