AI Solutions

ASUS AI Solutions include AI Cache Boost, ASUS AI Advisor, and AI Cooling II. AI Cache Boost optimizes CPU cache and memory pathways for improved local large language model performance when using compatible Ryzen™ 9000 Series CPUs. ASUS AI Advisor helps users explore motherboard features and performance settings, while AI Cooling II automatically adjusts fan speeds based on CPU temperatures.

Robust Power Design

The motherboard features a 12(80A) + 2(80A) + 1(80A) power-stage design. Each stage integrates high-side and low-side MOSFETs and drivers rated for up to 80A, providing stable and efficient power delivery for current and future AMD processors. It also includes enlarged VRM heatsinks, an eight-layer PCB, ProCool 8 + 8-pin power connectors, and Digi+ VRM control for enhanced stability and overclocking.

DDR5 Memory Support

Four DDR5 DIMM slots support dual-channel memory configurations. ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile (AEMP) automatically detects compatible memory chips and applies optimized settings, while AMD Extended Profiles for Overclocking (EXPO™) and extensive UEFI controls allow further memory tuning.

High-Speed M.2 Storage

The X870 MAX GAMING WIFI7 includes three M.2 slots: one PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot with speeds up to 128Gbps, plus two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots with speeds up to 64Gbps. This supports faster boot times and quicker application loading for compatible NVMe SSDs.

PCIe Expansion

The motherboard includes one PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlot supporting x16 mode, two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots supporting x1 mode, and one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot supporting x1 mode. The reinforced SafeSlot design helps provide secure graphics card installation and improved durability.

Comprehensive Cooling

Multiple onboard cooling solutions help maintain stable performance during intensive workloads. These include VRM heatsinks with thermal pads, a flexible M.2 heatsink, passive chipset heatsink, AIO pump header, 4-pin PWM/DC fan headers, multiple temperature sources, and smart protection features.

ASUS Fan Xpert 4

ASUS Fan Xpert 4 provides detailed control for system fans and AIO coolers. Auto-Tuning can configure fan settings with one click, while Extreme Quiet mode reduces fan speeds for quieter operation during light workloads. Fan controls are also available through the UEFI BIOS.

WiFi 7 and 2.5Gb Ethernet

Built-in WiFi 7 supports 160MHz bandwidth in the 6GHz band and 4096 QAM for fast wireless performance. Multi-Link Operation helps provide stable, low-latency connectivity across the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands. Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet provides fast wired network connectivity.

USB Type-C® Connectivity

USB 40Gbps Type-C® ports deliver up to 40Gbps of bi-directional bandwidth for high-speed devices and drives. Both ports can also support up to two external 4K displays. The motherboard also includes USB 20Gbps Type-C® connectivity for rapid data transfers.

Aura Sync RGB Lighting

Aura Sync provides synchronized RGB lighting control across compatible hardware. Three Addressable RGB Gen 2 headers automatically detect compatible LED counts and adjust lighting effects accordingly.
