How to Choose the Workstation Specs

MetaShape uses a balance of CPU and GPU processing power accross the variety of tasks that a user would undertake when using the software. During CPU intensive workloads, MetaShape favours CPUs with a high single-core clock speed, making processors like the Intel Core i9 and Core i7 an excellent choice.
Graphics Card
Many tasks within a MetaShape user's workflow are GPU-accelerated, making picking the right GPU extremely important if you want to have a seamless experience. A dedicated mid-range Nvidia GeForce RTX video card will deliver excellent performance in this application.
Memory
MetaShape's memory requirements depend on the number, quality, and resolution of images used. The geometry-building step (dense cloud and mesh generation) typically consumes the most memory. For medium or high-quality models, we recommend at least 32GB of RAM, or 64GB+ when working with 1000+ images.
