Processor
DaVinci Resolve makes heavy use of the system’s graphics card, and the requirements of the processor become largely dependent on how much GPU horsepower you end up having in your system. Intel’s Core i7 and i9 processors remain a popular choice for this workload as they offer the best value for single-GPU system. If you are using multiple GPUs, a CPU with a higher core count like AMD’s Threadripper series becomes beneficial.

You should always aim for the most powerful GPU that your budget will allow, to ensure that you have an optimal user experience. It must be noted the free edition of DaVinci Resolve only supports a single GPU, however performance will scale with multiple GPUs.

The exact amount of RAM required for DaVinci Resolve will depending on the desired output resolution, number of effects, and the length of your project, but as a generally rule-of-thumb, if you are working on 4K files at least 32GB of RAM is recommending, with 6K and 8K footage requiring at least 64GB of RAM.
